The Forum Club of the Palm Beaches will present Mike Allen on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at The Palm Beach County Convention Center, located at 650 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
A groundbreaking journalist and entrepreneur who has upended and revolutionized traditional political reporting, Allen is the co-founder of Axios. A Greek word meaning “worthy,” Axios revolutionizes the way news is consumed in the 21st century, utilizing a forward-thinking approach that delivers information in a smart, efficient trustworthy manner without bias.
Allen writes the Axios Daily Essentials newsletters, Axios AM, Axios PM and Axios Finish Line. He was also an executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning docu-news series, “Axios on HBO,” and co-author of Smart Brevity: The Power of Saying More with Less.
Allen was a co-founder of Politico, where he created Politico Playbook and helped build the company for its first decade.
He has received numerous accolades for his political coverage and is regarded as one of Washington’s most influential and well-connected journalists. He has been named several times to Vanity Fair's “New Establishment” list. He is also an alumnus of TIME, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
He is from Orange County, Calif., and graduated from Washington and Lee University.
